blastOffCreated by World Lindy hop Champion and fitness trainer Nick Williams, JitterBlast is a new dance fitness program that uses the high-energy swing dances (Lindy Hop, Charleston, Jazz, and others) to burn calories and tone muscle.  While you’re busy learning how to dance and loosing yourself in the great music, the athletic movement and momentum provide a top-notch interval workout. JitterBlast requires no partner and is designed for the complete beginner to advanced dancer, and for people of all fitness levels.

Although JitterBlast is a dance fitness program, the focus is fitness. It is a well-rounded program using different planes of motion and a mix of moves in order to hit as many muscle groups as possible for a balanced workout.

But that doesn’t mean you’re getting less of an authentic swing dance experience. Lindy Hop, Charleston, and Jazz are athletic and dynamic, and are pretty much perfect for developing overall high-level fitness.

Another goal of JitterBlast is to spread the intoxicating love of swing dancing. JitterBlast is a way for students to break a sweat and smile about it. JitterBlast is also about creating a community open to anyone — or, rather a family. A family of those who love fitness and great music.
